Scratch

I hate the hospital wing....

I will not be in class today. The nurse thinks I have a temperature.

Rukia, if you could feed my salamander tonight... just because I'm... not going to be in the dorm....?

*growls quietly to himself, feeling lonely and put upon; listens for Nurse Plum's presence, and then scratches at a large poultice encasing his left arm*

[[It's a minor infection, but disruptive enough to keep him in the Hospital Wing for a few days... much to his annoyance.]]

Really now? Hum...now that I think about it, a lot of wizarding books are pretty heavy for second years unless they're specifically meant for second years. I'm not sure if something like, say, Fifteenth Century Fiends would be entertaining. Maybe I should have collected more Muggle books.

Do you ever read poetry?

My Uncle read Jabberwocky and The Hunting of the Snark when I was a kid. I still read them from time to time. What kind of poetry do you like?

I like Edgar Allen Poe. He's good, for an American. *says the twelve-year-old elitist Brit whut*

Jabberwocky... wait, we learned about Jabberwocks in Care of Magical Creatures.....

[[I vaguely kinda remember hearing that there were magical Jabberwocks in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them or something like that. And if there aren't, there SHOULD BE. XDDD]]

He's a little dark, though, isn't he? *says the woman who obviously doesn't know who she's talking to*

Really? Let me think...Jarvey...Jobberknoll...huh, they weren't in the book when I went to school, they must have been discovered recently. I'm sure they're just as nasty as the real Jabberwocky Lewis Carroll wrote about.

..Dark...? He... had insight, I think.

They are. Their eyes alone would drive you MAD.~

Insight into dark things?...Hmm...maybe I should read something of his.

You mean like And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
? ...Maybe Jabberwocky isn't a nonsense poem after all.

A lot of his poems are about girls. But some of them are about being alone.

Yes, that... The book said they existed, but it might have been lying.
