*having unfortunately never before seen one of Jei's transformations, he has no clue that this is much different... However he does know wild dogs and wolves, and he can easily tell that it's very likely the kid is no longer at all in control of himself, Paul flashes a feral grin and flexes his fingers, getting a bit more comfortable with his own sharp claws as he takes a step back from the now fully transformed werewolf. Not retreating at all, just giving himself a bit more room*
*he tilts his head curiously at the low growl, listening curiously but then shaking his head very slightly, unable to make much of the noise, his arms resting lightly at his sides, actually slightly mimicking the pose and stance of some of the students he has seen fight, knowing from experience that the pose alone gives better range of motion in a fight... Having learned that one the hard way*

Wouldn't you rather go after something more interesting..? After all, the beach has lots of fun prey-type...
