*climbs onto his four-poster, turns pages until the journal tells him it has reached the latest entry, and scratches out the ~Will Be Back Soon~ note with a lot of ink*

I am back.

*feeling several irregularly parcels on his counterpane* What... more presents?

[[Rukia? Thank you for the... uh... thing to put stuff in wallet. And I like the book... it has an interesting voice.]]

[[Syaoran... this book has a lot of magic in it. I am grateful.]]

[[Vivi -- is this quill from your owl? It is soft.]]

Welcome back. Where did you go? (if you don't mind my asking ... )

Ya, the feather's from my bird, but he's not an owl ... he's a finch. I transfigured the feather into a quill. I hope it works alright, I'm not that good at this kinda stuff.

*shrugs* ..Home. It was a surprise.

I'm writing with it.... A finch? What kind of a bird is that?

Ooh. I hope you had a good time.

Yay, I'm glad it works! A finch is a little brown bird with black spots on the wings. Well, mine is. They come in lots of colors. But mine was a wild bird originally so he's just brown and black.

*interested* How did you get a wild bird? I could never catch one.

I spent a lot of time out in the courtyard practicing charms and transfiguration and stuff, back when it was a bit warmer. And I always brought my lunch, so I'd give part of it to the birds out there. And ... well ... do you remember when someone hexed the toast a while back? And everyone who had some turned into plushies? Eeh ... that kinda happened to me and a few of the birds ...

I couldn't just leave them out there, a cat would get them. So I brought them in with me. And when they changed back I let them go. 'Cept Altaire, he didn't want to go. So he's my pet. *smile*

Oh... I didn't get any of that bread. *shivers, not liking the idea of being involuntarily turned into something else* He sounds like a smart bird. Perhaps he knows you fed him.

It was really weird. I liked the indoor rain and folding stairs better. (especially because of the water slide)

Ya, he probably knows. I still go feed the other birds and sometimes he comes with me, but he's the only one that ever wanted to go inside the castle.
